Our mission is to reconcile university students to Christ. The next generation of leaders, parents, teachers, and ministers are at our universities--what if we could reach them at a season of life when they are most open to hearing the good news of Jesus? What if the "anxious generation" could become the empowered generation? This is the mission of Chi Alpha across the United States and the world.

At Western Washington University we are known as CCF (Campus Christian Fellowship) and we are committed to reaching students with the gospel!

My Story

When I came to study at Western Washington University in 2011, I was scared I wouldn't meet any Christian friends there. Imagine my surprise when two students came up to me one day while I was eating in the cafeteria and asked me, "What do you think the message of Jesus was all about?" It turned out they were a part of a campus ministry called CCF. Soon I was a part of a whole community of students just like me, learning to follow Jesus together. It changed my life. I had an opportunity to ask deep questions about my faith and live it out as an adult on my own for the first time. Now I get to give that same opportunity to students just like I used to be, as a missionary to the same campus where my faith in Jesus came alive.

What we do

We are called to go...
IMG_0309.jpg

To the next generation

Students are hungry for hope and meaning. Young adults who have grown up with faith are finding it tested for the first time in college. Those who have never experienced a Christian community might be the most open to it they've ever been. We meet students where they are and invite them toward Jesus--through relationships, small group community, and one-to-one discipleship.

To the campus

The university is the most critical and strategic mission field in the world. WWU trains and sends out thousands of teachers every year--as well as pre-law students, engineers, and many other fields. These are the people who will be shaping the future of our communities and families, and the time to reach them with the story of what Jesus is doing in the world is when they are at college. We do outreaches on our campus to engage the secular university in conversation with a Christian worldview.

To the nations

Every year, nations all over the world send their best and brightest to the US to study. We obey Jesus' command to go to the nations by reaching the international students on our campus--many of whom have little to no access to the gospel in their home country.
